I think it’s generally pretty difficult to find a bad cafe in Melbourne. This was my first visit to a cafe that wasn’t in the CBD, and I’ve heard it’s only a month or two old. It’s right next to Ripponlea station, a short walk from Acland Street and the St Kilda botanical gardens.
The menu is really good and very reasonably priced. I decided to go for two five dollar options – why have one when you can have two? I chose the Chicken Pate and the Roasted Beetroot Salad, both were really delicious.
I went along with Marlee who writes String Of Events, she went for the Banana Bread.
They do a fab range of smoothies too, although this time I went for my usual flat white with soy milk.
One touch in the place that I especially liked was the little herb garden/wall they have going on in the court yard. I’m all for fresh goods when it comes to cooking and thought this was a great idea!
Good food, nice atmosphere and lovely decor. Will definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu!
